Dengan demikian jika kita ingin menerima sinyal TV Digital, kita harus memiliki pesawat TV Digital yang dilengkapi dengan tuner DVB-T2 (TV with DVB-T2 tuner).
Jika pesawat televisi yang anda miliki hanya bisa menerima siaran analog, atau TV LED / LCD yang tidak ada tuner DVB-T2, untuk bisa menerima siaran TV digital DVB-T2 anda harus menggunakan Set Top Box DVBT-2 yang berfungsi mengubah sinyal TV Digital DVB-T2 sehingga bisa diterima pesawat TV analog atau TV digital yang belum menggunakan tuner DVB-T2.

Repotnya kalau menggunakan Set Top Box DVB-T2 adalah kita jadi mempunyai dua remote control. Satu bawaan dari pabrik televisi, satu lagi untuk Set Top Box (STB). Yang bawaan dari pabrik TV berguna untuk mengatur volume suara saja, sedangkan yang dari STB berguna untuk ganti-ganti channel. Ribet, ya..
Jika kita tidak ingin direpotkan oleh perangkat tambahan seperti Set Top Box untuk menerima sinyal digital, kita harus memiliki televisi yang sudah built-in Tuner DVB-T2.
Di bawah ini adalah daftar beberapa merk TV LED yang sudah ada Tuner DVB-T2. Nampaknya masih sedikit produsen TV yang memproduksi Televisi yang sudah dilengkapi dengan tuner DVB-T2. Namun perlu diingat, jika produsen TV tidak segera memproduksi televisi yang sudah dilengkapi dengan tuner DVB-T2 maka dapat dipastikan produk mereka akan ketinggalan kereta dan tidak akan laku dijual. Bahkan di website resmi Sony Indonesia, informasi jenis Tuner sengaja dihilangkan. Hal itu apakah merupakan kesengajaan untuk membingungkan calon pembeli TV di Indonesia dan memanfaatkan ketidaktahuaan konsumen Indonesia terhadap system penyiaran TV digital (DVB-T2). Atau mungkin produk TV dengan tuner analog yang sudah terlanjur banyak diproduksi dan tidak laku dijual di negara yang sudah menerapkan siaran TV digital, dilempar ke pasar Indonesia. Orang Indonesia yang tidak paham kalau siaran analog bakalan expire tahun 2015 di Pulau Jawa dan tahun 2018 di seluruh Indonesia dan digantikan siaran digital format DVB-T2, akan main hajar beli saja apalagi kalau ada iming-iming discount tanpa tahu ada apa dibalik obral tersebut.
Namun dari beberapa info dari situs lain, no seri produk SONY di atas sudah bult-in tuner DVB-T2, bahkan dari Singapore dikatakan hampir semua produk SONY Singapore keluaran terakhir sudah built-in Tuner DVB-T2, seperti yang dilansir situs asia.cnet.com berikut
“…The good news is most of the latest models are DVB-T2 ready. For its full-HD lineup, they include the W674, W704, W804, W904 and W954 series… ” (post 11 July 2013)
No seri produk keluaran SONY Singapore tersebut kami cek di situs Sony Indonesia, hasilnya seperti screenshot di atas.
Namun kehati-hatian harus tetap diutamakan. Test sebelum membeli tentu lebih bijak daripada nyesal dikemudian hari. WASPADALAH jika nggak mau nyesal…

Tips yang mungkin bisa membantu saat mau beli TV LED yang sudah bult-in Tuner DVB-T2 adalah cari info stasiun TV mana yang sudah on air menggunakan sinyal DVB-T2 untuk wilayah Anda, kemudian saat melakukan test TV LED pilihan anda di toko atau dealernya, pastikan stasiun TV tersebut muncul saat di scan. Jika stasiun TV tersebut nongol, bisa dipastikan TV LED pilihan anda sudah built-in Tuner DVB-T2, jika tidak sebaiknya cari merk lain atau jangan beli dulu.
